During the 2018 / 2019 winter, Amy played a part in the restoration of the Burrell Agricultural traction engine, 'Red Gauntlet'. Working with the Burrell works drawings & lining scheme of black, bright red and ‘Burrell’ straw, she undertook the lining freehand using no tape, across the engine.

I would strongly recommend Amy to anyone that is looking to have an engine lined out. Her knowledge and research into the correct colours and style of lining for our engine was very helpful, because we aimed to get it as close to how it left the factory as we could. Her attention to detail was excellent. We have not had one negative comment, only praise about the lining, since the engine has been out. Everything about Amy and her work is professional and we would recommend her to anyone. She was very flexible in changing our allocated time slot when we over ran on completing parts of the paint work. She was always five minutes early on arrival every day and some times worked on into the evening to get parts finished... just make sure you have plenty of tea to hand!

The lining completed includes 3-colour paintwork on the spokes of the wheels, the tender, the lagging, the horn and spectacle plates, the gear guards and splash-back, and the front axle. ‘Red Gauntlet’ made its debut during the season of 2019 and the final stage - the signwriting on the canopy - was completed in the winter of 2020.
